In 2023, we proudly celebrated our 16th year of collaboration with Dublin Dance Festival, alongside our second year working with artistic director, Jazmin Chiodi. This edition of the festival features a captivating lineup of emotionally rich and diverse shows, covering a wide spectrum of subject matters. From the dark and intense to the funny and surreal, each performance promised to captivate audiences through the compelling interplay of music, movement, and interaction.
A core brand strategy uses colour and the brand’s ‘D’ to anchor the communications allowing other elements to push the identity into a new and rich space for this year's edition.
We crafted a visually striking system employing bold and discordant treatments of typography, colour, and imagery. These dynamic elements interact seamlessly with one another, shifting and moving throughout various campaign applications. The result is an identity that exudes a sense of dynamism, emotion, and connection, encapsulating the very essence of the festival itself.
We produced a memorable trailer to capture the powerful sensory experience of the festival and launch the new visual identity.
Dublin Dance Festival offers a variety of shows each year that span multiple locations throughout Dublin. This was the second year the full printed programme was replaced by a shorter, edited overview and schedule offering a snapshot view of the festival.

We used an asymmetric accordion fold format for the programme that echoes the discordant treatment of type colour and image throughout the identity.

We created a powerful sensory experience reflecting the provocative, enticing, richness of the festival. Colour played a key role in communicating the unique variety and tonal breadth of shows in the programme.


As part of the website update and in line with sustainable web best practice we introduced a lightweight text animation that echoed our strategy across the brand.
